Information We Collect
Santa's Little Helper uses Sign in with Apple for account access. The backend stores account identifiers, session records, and Apple authentication material needed to create, refresh, and revoke sessions.
You may save contact profiles with names, relationships, contact photos, notes, likes, avoids, occasions, gift history, product links, and related dates or statuses.
The app may request access to your device Contacts so you can choose people to import. Selected contacts and selected birthday information can be added to the app. Santa's Little Helper does not upload your entire address book just because permission is granted.
You may save a shipping or delivery region address. The backend stores the full address in encrypted form and stores country and postal code separately so Giftobot product research can use a broad delivery region without receiving your street or apartment details.
Santa's Little Helper stores notification preferences for local gift reminders, such as whether reminders are enabled and whether to remind you 14 days or 3 days before an occasion. The current production configuration does not register remote push notification device tokens.
Santa's Little Helper stores subscription entitlement information verified through Apple StoreKit, including product identifiers, status, expiration times, and App Store notification records needed to manage access to premium features.
Giftobot And Product Research
Giftobot uses saved contact, occasion, preference, address-region, gift-history, and conversation context to generate gift ideas. Giftobot chat messages and generated responses may be stored so you can continue the conversation.
Giftobot may use OpenRouter for AI responses and Browser Use for read-only product research. Product research may retrieve current-looking prices, availability, shipping details, retailer names, product links, source links, and checked-at times.
Product research results can become outdated quickly. Prices, availability, shipping estimates, retailer pages, and links may change, and you must verify all purchase details directly with the retailer before buying.
Giftobot may store AI memory derived from your own messages when it identifies durable gift-recipient facts supported by conversation evidence.
Photos And Storage
Contact photos you choose to upload are stored through Cloudflare R2 and associated with your contact records. The app may also keep local cached copies of contact photos on your device.
User records, contacts, occasions, gifts, settings, conversations, entitlements, and product research records are stored through Cloudflare Workers and Cloudflare D1. Giftobot uses a Cloudflare Durable Object Agent for stateful chat work.
Provider Connections
The current production configuration keeps Google Calendar imports and Facebook imports disabled. The codebase contains provider-connection support behind explicit capability flags; if a provider connection is enabled, stored OAuth credentials are encrypted and can be disconnected from the app.
How We Use Information
We use information to run your account, sync your gift-planning data, import selected contacts, store contact photos, manage local reminder settings, verify subscriptions, provide Giftobot conversations, perform read-only product research when available, prevent abuse, and provide support.
Santa's Little Helper does not sell personal data and does not use app data for advertising.
Data Deletion
You can delete your account in the app. Account deletion removes your backend user record and associated records through database deletion rules, deletes stored contact photos, attempts to revoke Apple authentication material, destroys the user's Giftobot Agent state, and clears local account data during sign-out.
Some records may remain if retention is required for legal, security, billing, abuse-prevention, or technical reasons.
